At Brocato's Eat Dat, we try to bring the Cajun Heritage to the east. Chef Troy and wife Cherie opened a restaurant in August 2005, and we all know what happened to that. In January 2006 they came back to cook for Lake Castle Private School. While cooking for the school was wonderful, it just wasn't the same as a restaurant. In June 2010 Brocato's Eat Dat opened. Chef Troy was raised in the heart of Cajun country. He came to New Orleans and worked at K-Paul's Louisiana Kitchen for 13 years. He loves to take his Cajun cuisine and blend them with New Orleans style food, Creole Cuisine and Soul Food to create the daily specials. Any day of the week you may find Blackened Redfish, Crawfish Etouffe, Smothered Rabbit, Deep Fried Stuffed Bell Pepper, Seafood Stuffed Shrimp, Home Made Crab Cakes and Deep Fried Pork Chop. The menu changes daily to keep everyone on their toes and offer a good fresh meal at a reasonable price. Most specials range from $9 to $14. Come and join us for lunch Tuesday-Saturday 10:30-4:00.
