Credit will be issued for unused amount Sam Magliolo brought the pizza tradition of Rockford, Illinois to Hammond, LA. in the 1950's. In 1976, Sam's niece used those recipes and opened a pizzeria named after her son Tommy. James Webb purchased the original Tommy's Pizza in 1989. The company moved to it's current location at 216 W. Thomas St. in March 2003 in historic Downtown Hammond in a building constructed in 1920. I feel the atmosphere of this building best represents the ambiance, quality, and time-proven methods of Tommy's past and future. My philosophy is not to veer away from the traditional ways of making a pizza pie. All of our pies are still made from fresh ingredients, handmade and cooked in the old-style brick ovens. James' vision of turning customers into friends and meals into memories, as it was done in the 50's, is now known as Tommy's on Thomas.
